The evening rush, explained.
On cluster feeding - misread as failure, almost always normal.
Cluster feeding: short, frequent feeds, often through the evening is one of the most misunderstood newborn behaviours. Many parents read it as low supply, or a sign that something is wrong. It is almost always neither.
Cluster feeding helps a baby build supply, settle for longer stretches at night, and move through growth spurts. It is exhausting, and it is normal, and it usually peaks somewhere between weeks two and six.
A quiet tip
Set up a small cluster station (water, something to eat, a charger, a book) somewhere comfortable. Plan for the evenings rather than fighting them.
